Privacy Policy
tMinus1 PTY LTD runs this website. This page tells you what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you get a copy of it or have it deleted.
We are an Australian company. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to us. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the section below on EU and UK rights also applies to you.

What we collect
We collect two kinds of information.
What you type into a form. The contact form asks for your full name, your email address, your role or title, your country, your business name, your business website or LinkedIn profile, the services you are interested in, your timeline, and anything else you choose to write. Name, email, role, country and message are required. The rest are optional. The Production Notes form in the footer asks only for your email address, plus your tick to confirm you want the newsletter.
What your browser sends. Every page load sends technical data: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the page you came from. We do not run our own server access logs, so we do not hold a record of your visits. HubSpot's tracking script does record this kind of data, and so does every third-party service your browser contacts to fetch a file. Those records sit with them.
This site does not take payments and does not ask for payment details. We do not collect sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it. Please do not send us any through a web form.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and to arrange a technical call.
- To work out whether we can help you, and to write a proposal.
- To send you the Production Notes newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To see which pages people actually read, so we write better ones.
- To keep the site secure and to investigate abuse.
- To meet our own tax and corporate record-keeping duties.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not pass it to advertising networks.
Cookies and tracking
We use HubSpot for our customer records, our forms and our marketing email. The HubSpot tracking script loads on every page of this site from js-ap1.hs-scripts.com. It sets cookies in your browser, gives your browser a visitor identifier, and records which pages you view and how long you stay. HubSpot also runs a feature called Collected Forms. It can capture what you submit through a form on this site, even when that form posts somewhere else.
If you do not want this, block cookies for tminus1.io in your browser settings, or use a tracker blocker. Nothing on this site needs a cookie to work. Every page still renders and every form still submits.
We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any advertising pixel on this site.
Who else sees your information
Your information reaches these companies because we use their services to run the site.
- HubSpot, Inc. Our customer records, forms and marketing email. Form submissions and page-view tracking go here.
- HubSpot meetings scheduler. Our booking pages embed HubSpot's scheduler in a frame, loaded from static.hsappstatic.net and meetings-ap1.hubspot.com. If you book a time, the name, email address and any answers you give go straight to HubSpot.
- Amazon Web Services. Hosting. We serve the site from Amazon S3 through the Amazon CloudFront edge network. AWS handles the network request that delivers each page.
- Google. Our pages load web fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and a font-loader script from ajax.googleapis.com. Your browser contacts Google directly for those files, so Google sees your IP address.
- Content delivery networks. Pages also load scripts, styles, images and video from cdn.prod.website-files.com (the Webflow CDN), cdn.jsdelivr.net, cdnjs.cloudflare.com and d3e54v103j8qbb.cloudfront.net. Your browser contacts each one directly, so each one sees your IP address.
- Our email provider. If a form cannot reach HubSpot, it falls back to an email to hey@tminus1.io, composed in your own mail program. That email then sits in our mailbox.
We also give information to our professional advisers, or to a court or a government agency, when the law requires it.
Where your information goes
Some of these companies store or access data outside Australia.
- HubSpot holds our data in its AP1 region, which is in Australia. HubSpot is a United States company. Its staff and its own subcontractors can reach that data from outside Australia, including from the United States and Europe.
- We host the site in the AWS us-east-1 region, in the United States. CloudFront then caches pages at edge locations worldwide and serves you from the nearest one.
- Google and the content delivery networks listed above operate globally, and your browser connects to whichever location is nearest to you.
When you send us a form, you consent to that transfer. We take reasonable steps to use providers that commit to proper data protection terms. We cannot control a foreign law that applies to them.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and the record of our conversation: seven years from our last contact with you. Australian tax and corporate law makes us keep business records, and we need the history of a client relationship.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your address on a suppression list, so we do not mail you again by mistake.
- HubSpot tracking data: for as long as HubSpot retains it under our subscription.
If you ask us to delete your information, and no law requires us to keep it, we delete it.
How to stop our marketing email
Every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link. Use it and we stop.
You can also email hey@tminus1.io and tell us to stop. We will not ask you for a reason.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop us replying to an enquiry you sent us.
Access, correction and deletion
Email hey@tminus1.io with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Tell us which of these you want:
- A copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- A correction, if what we hold is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Deletion of your information.
We reply within 30 days. We may first ask you to confirm who you are, so we do not hand your data to somebody else. We do not charge for a request.
If we refuse access, or refuse to correct something, we tell you why in writing.
If you are in the EU or the UK
The GDPR and the UK GDPR give you further rights. You can ask us to restrict how we use your information. You can object to our use of it. You can ask for a portable copy. You can withdraw a consent you gave us, at any time.
Our legal basis is your consent for marketing email and for tracking cookies, our legitimate interest for answering your enquiry and for keeping the site secure, and performance of a contract where we have one with you.
You can complain to your own supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security
We serve the whole site over HTTPS. We limit access to our HubSpot account and our AWS account to the people who need it.
No system is perfect. If a data breach happens and it is likely to cause you serious harm, we tell you and we tell the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Children
This site is for business buyers. We do not aim it at children and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 16.
Complaints
Email hey@tminus1.io first and tell us what went wrong. We investigate and reply in writing.
If our answer does not satisfy you, take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We change this page when what we do changes. The date at the top is the date of the version you are reading. If a change materially affects you, we say so on this page.
